Some plain detergent (baby shampoo will do) some water and a dollop of glycerine (from a chemist – we used an out of date bottle that had been bought with coughs in mind); into a bucket, stir gently and create bubbles. We had the benefit of a contraption that was basically a cloth loop suspended from a plastic rod with a slider attached. A bent metal clothes hanger has been used in the past but we had to tip the bucket to get the film.

Then have fun trying to see how big we could make the bubbles. the best weather is relatively still and humid but we got away with a little breeze.
