0°C (32°F) rising a degree or so above and then a few degrees of frost at night after yesterday’s fresh snow fall. Last weekend’s little blanket has not quite gone when we got a little more. Enough to disrupt travel and make the pavements a bit dodgy but not disastrous for most people. (With the usual caveat to wrap up well and not to stint on the heating.)

I doubt if our snowy pictures are any more impressive than any one else’s so I’ll spare you most of them. However, this icicle formed at the end of the gutter on our garage is a little unusual. As you can see it is curved at the bottom.

We assume it has something to do with the wind and the intermittent nature of the snow’s melting and refreezing.
