“Autumn: season of mists and mellow fruitfulness.” I think that that is all the Keats I know.

We have had a late blast of Summer warmth – not all that unusual for early Autumn in this part of the world. The other day we were woken by the noise of farm vehicles as they began to harvest the maize in the neighbouring field.

So we had the excitement of watching the corn being harvested. I also took the opportunity to take some photos across the field in the early morning mist. I could have spent all day watching the farm workers and the changing scene as the mist lifted and the sunshine grew. I didn’t but I was able to return later in the day to take a photo of the last of the maize being harvested.
